About This Project
How do you tell the stories of murder victims…in their own words? In Investigation Discovery’s Stolen Voices, Buried Secrets, we were challenged with telling these stories in first person. For AMNY, we created a faux cover wrap with a first person headline, “I’m ready to tell my story,” only on Investigation Discovery. An obituary was included in the paper, also written in first person. The key art was a composite of 11 separate photos. The haunting image of an anonymous girl, standing in a field in a red coat – became our muse. The promo that was part of the online media was also in first person, and interactive games were guided by victims asking consumers to help solve their murders.
